Kit

Kit

Cinema production and post-production equipment based in Kochi, Kerala. Available with operator for productions across Kerala. For Dubai-based productions, kit logistics are discussed at the briefing stage — equipment can travel with the operator, or local rental partners in the UAE can be recommended. Producers requiring a detailed kit list for budgeting can request one on enquiry.

Camera

The primary acquisition camera is the Sony FX9 — a full-frame 6K cinema camera with dual native ISO (up to 51,200), built-in variable ND, and S-LOG3 acquisition. It is the workhorse for both narrative and corporate productions. The Sony A7 III serves as a stills and hybrid B-camera for behind-the-scenes, product, and supplementary coverage.

Lenses

Two complete lens sets are available. The Rokinon XEEN CF Pro PL-mount cine set covers six focal lengths — 16mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm — all with consistent T-stop markings and cinema-standard PL mounts, adapted to the FX9 via a Metabones PL-to-E adapter. For E-mount work, a full Sony G Master prime set covers 14mm f/1.8 through 135mm f/1.8, alongside the 16–35mm f/2.8 and 24–70mm f/2.8 GM zooms. Zeiss Batis 40mm and 85mm round out the E-mount options. Every lens is protected with Carl Zeiss T* UV filters.

Optical Filters

A professional Schneider Kreuznach 4×5.65″ filter system covers the full range of optical tools used in cinema production: Hollywood Black Magic (1/8 through 2), True-Streak (clear, blue, indigo, rainbow, confetti), Radiant Soft, True-Net diffusion, Rhodium soft-edge graduated NDs, polarisers, and IR cut filters. Supported by Tilta and Wooden Camera clamp-on matte boxes. Lindsey Optics diopter sets (+1/4 through +3) for close focus work.

Monitoring & Wireless Video

On-set monitoring via SmallHD Cine 7. Wireless video transmission via Teradek Bolt 4K 750 (12G-SDI/HDMI, up to 750ft range) — director and client can monitor a calibrated feed anywhere on set without a cable. A Swit 23.8″ NDI broadcast monitor is available for larger crew or client village setups. Reference grading is done on an Asus ProArt PA32UCG-K with X-Rite i1Display Pro calibration.

Motion Control & Support

Camera support includes a Cartoni Focus 12 fluid head on both carbon fibre and aluminium tripod legs. The Movmax 4ft slider with grip dolly handles lateral and tracking moves. A DJI RS 3 Pro gimbal covers stabilised handheld and motion work. Follow focus via Accsoon wireless system and Tilta manual units.

Audio

Location audio is recorded on a Zoom F8n Pro (8-track) or Zoom F6 (6-track) multitrack field recorder, with timecode sync via Ambient Recording NanoLockit and Lockit units — keeping camera and audio in perfect sync across multi-camera setups. Boom microphones are the Sennheiser MKH 416 and MKH 8060 — industry-standard dialogue shotguns. Wireless lavalieres run on two Sony UWP-D systems (single and dual channel). Camera-mount audio via Sony XLR-K3M adapter. All audio cabled with Mogami Gold.

For studio, streaming, and live production: Yamaha DM3 22-channel digital mixer, Roland VR-1HD AV streaming mixer, Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 audio interface, and Rode NT-USB studio microphone.

Lighting & Grip

The lighting package is built around Aputure. The key source is the NOVA P300c — a 300W RGBWW soft panel capable of any colour temperature and used for interviews, narrative, and product work. The LS 300X bi-colour LED and Amaran PT2c 2-light kit provide hard source, fill, and accent options. Two Aputure MT Pro RGBWW tube lights handle practicals, background work, and colour effects. An Aputure spotlight mount with 26° lens and 10-gobo kit adds shaped, hard-edge lighting for cinematic setups.

Grip includes Kupo C-stands (40″ and 20″, multiple), high cine stands, and Kupo butterfly frames in 6×6 and 8×8 — rigged with a full set of canvas rags: diffusion, black solid, muslin, china silk, and chroma key green (6×6 and 8×8). Light is measured with a Sekonic L-858D light meter and Sekonic C-800 spectrometer for colour temperature accuracy.

Kit is available with operator only, based in Kochi. For productions requiring bare kit hire, equipment rental partners in Kochi and Dubai can be recommended on request.
