I am a CUMAC Associate Cinematographer — AC-286 — formally credentialed under the Cinematographers’ Union of Malayalam Cinema, affiliated to FEFKA and AIFEC. That is the union credential required to work on Malayalam film industry productions, and the starting point for any conversation about narrative work.
My debut as a producer and DP was Life of Elsa, a short film that premiered across 12 streaming platforms and received a public broadcast on AP Malayalam. It marked the entry into narrative filmmaking that the corporate decade was always building toward.

Life of Elsa is a short film produced and shot by Paul Joseph — his debut as both producer and DP in narrative cinema. The film premiered simultaneously across 12 streaming platforms and received a public broadcast on AP Malayalam, reaching audiences across Kerala.
The film was graded in DaVinci Resolve with Dehancer, targeting a textured, film-emulated look that contrasted with the clean digital acquisition. Remote post-production was handled via DaVinci Resolve Cloud Collaboration and Frame.io.
